Scuttle Contest

At level 3, you win the scuttle fight decisively because your Q pull closes distance instantly, W gives you repositioning speed to stay on top of Amumu after he attempts to flee, and E knockup prevents him from using Q to escape or re-engage, leaving him with no reliable answer to your burst threat.
At level 6, your 1v1 win condition is landing Q before Amumu can Q onto you, since if he initiates with his Q first and immediately uses R, you lose the trade due to his AoE stun and tankiness outpacing your damage in a sustained fight.

Amumu jungle typically runs a full clear starting bot-side (Red Buff into Krugs into Raptors or a mirrored blue-side path) and paths toward Scuttle at level 3, relying on his Q to contest.
He clears efficiently and will look to stack camps before making aggressive plays, so expect him to be farming-focused early and only ganking when he has a clear setup or lane priority.

You should invade Amumu at his second buff after he clears his first camp, ideally around the 3:15–3:30 window when he is between camps and at low health from clearing without sustain.
Target the buff opposite to his start (if he starts Red, invade Blue) and use your Q to catch him in the open jungle path where he has no minions or terrain to break your pull angle.

Do not use Q recklessly in narrow jungle corridors where Amumu can predict your pull angle and simply walk perpendicular to dodge it, because missing Q removes your entire threat pattern and leaves you as a slow, low-damage jungler with no kill pressure for several seconds.
Also avoid extended fights against a tanky Amumu who has already activated W, as his damage reduction combined with E passive shred will outlast your burst if the fight goes beyond your initial combo.
