LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Blitzcrank because your Q is a single-target dash that can be body-blocked or dodged, while Blitzcrank's Q pull followed by W speed and E knockup gives him a reliable kill threat you cannot match without your ultimate.
- At level 6, you can win a 1v1 if you land Q to close the gap, immediately W to reduce his damage, and use R to stun him before he can Q-pull you into a bad position, since your tankiness and sustained damage through E passive outscale his burst in a prolonged fight.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Blitzcrank jungle typically runs a standard bot-side start (Red Buff into Krugs or Red into Raptors) then looks to path toward Scuttle or invade your jungle early, as his clear is slow and he wants to compensate with early aggression and picks using his Q.
- Expect him to prioritize river control and look for gank opportunities on overextended lanes rather than farming efficiently, since his clear speed is below average.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Blitzcrank early because his Q pull at close range in a tight jungle camp corridor is extremely dangerous and he can chain Q into E knockup to kill you before you can respond effectively.
- If you must contest, wait until after level 6 when your R gives you a guaranteed engage tool, and target his blue-side jungle when you have vision confirming he is on the opposite side of the map.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk in a straight line toward Blitzcrank at any point in the game, as his Q is the single ability that defines the entire matchup and predictable movement in narrow jungle paths or river chokepoints will result in you being pulled, knocked up, and killed before your abilities matter.
- Additionally, avoid using Q to engage if Blitzcrank still has his Q available, since missing your dash leaves you stationary and vulnerable to his full combo.
