Who Wins
- Pre-6, Xayah+Rakan win most 2v2s because Rakan's level 2 all-in (W+E) is one of the strongest in the game and Jhin has no mobility to escape it — you and Jhin lose if you let them dictate the engage.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes more even since your R can interrupt Rakan's R or Xayah's R, but you still don't have the raw damage to out-trade them in a sustained fight.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to poke with Q when Rakan is out of position or on cooldown, then disengage immediately — never commit to extended trades because Xayah's passive and feather setup will outdamage Jhin in a prolonged fight.
- Use your W to reposition Jhin or yourself after a Q hit, not as an engage tool.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You should not hard shove the wave because it puts Jhin in a vulnerable position against Rakan's all-in range; instead, maintain a slight freeze or slow push to keep the wave near your tower where Rakan's engage is less threatening.
- Roaming with your Q chimes is your primary value, so look to rotate mid when the wave is pushing toward them.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R reactively after Rakan has already landed his R — by then Xayah will have her feathers set and the CC chain is already winning the fight.
- Save your R as a preemptive peel or to interrupt Rakan's W approach before the engage fully lands.
