Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke with Q-AA combos, as Kassadin has no meaningful way to trade back without taking minion damage.
- Post-6 you lose the 1v1 as Kassadin's R gives him gap-close potential to all-in you through your soldiers, and his Q silence prevents your escape combos.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is Q-AA when Kassadin goes for CS, then immediately back off to avoid his Q-E combo retaliation.
- Never extended trade as his passive magic damage reduction and Q shield make longer fights favor him even pre-6.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to build a CS lead and force Kassadin to use mana on Q to farm under tower rather than harass you.
- After 6, maintain slow pushes to keep minions between you and his R engage range, never letting the wave crash completely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your E aggressively for trades as it's your only escape tool against his post-6 all-ins.
