Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Teemo's range and Q blind heavily punish your auto-attack-reliant passive stars, and his poison sustain damage will chip you down faster than you can stack E safely — you lose most extended trades early.
  • At level 3 you gain access to all three abilities, but Teemo's poke range still outclasses your Q's travel time, making it difficult to land reliably unless he overextends.

How to Trade

  • Post-6, you gain significant burst potential with R into Q combos, but Teemo's blind still neutralizes your passive star damage during trades, so you must rely on ability damage exclusively — your R knockback can also displace him out of your E cone range, so sequencing matters.
  • You win post-6 if you can force all-ins with R into Q stun into E, but Teemo's mushrooms and mobility make clean engages difficult without W setup.

Wave Control

  • Your best trading pattern is to use W to close distance or reposition unexpectedly, then immediately cast R to knock Teemo back into a wall or toward you, follow with Q to stun him, and channel E on the stunned target — this is your only reliable damage window since his blind shuts down your passive.
  • Avoid extended back-and-forth trades entirely; you must commit to burst sequences or disengage, as sustained fighting heavily favors Teemo's poison and blind uptime.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Push the wave hard with E to execute minions and stack as quickly as possible, then use W to roam mid or bot — your value in this matchup comes from outscaling through stacks and creating pressure elsewhere, not from winning the lane 1v1.
  • Avoid letting Teemo freely poke you under tower while you farm; if you're low, back off rather than greedily stacking, as dying resets your roaming tempo and denies you the stacks that make you relevant later.
