Who Wins

  • Pre-6, this lane is roughly even to slightly unfavorable for your side: Jinx matches your range with rockets and Pyke's hook threat punishes you hard if you step up to trade, especially at level 2 when he gets his hook.
  • Post-6, you gain a meaningful advantage because your R gives global pick potential and Zilean's R removes the kill threat that Pyke's R provides, making all-ins far less punishing for you.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to use W slow to kite backward while Zilean applies Q pressure, forcing Jinx to either take poke or lose CS under threat of a double-bomb stun.
  • Avoid extended trades where Jinx can stack her passive attack speed, as her DPS will outpace yours in prolonged fights.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Play for a slow push by last-hitting safely and letting Zilean's Q help you poke under the threat of the wave, then crash a large wave before backing to deny Jinx reset opportunities.
  • Avoid pushing too aggressively early because a frozen wave near their tower exposes you to Pyke roams and hook angles.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk up to trade without knowing Pyke's position, as his hook-slow-stun chain into Jinx damage will kill you faster than Zilean can react with his R.
  • Respecting Pyke's hook range is more important than winning the poke war against Jinx.
