Who Wins
- Pre-6, you and Thresh win most extended trades due to your consistent slowing auto-attacks and Thresh's hook threat keeping Twitch from freely repositioning — Twitch has no meaningful level 1-3 spike that overcomes your range and peel combination.
- Post-6, your R gives you a reliable engage tool that Twitch and Yuumi cannot easily dodge, and Twitch's R is a sustained DPS ultimate that requires him to stand still, making him extremely vulnerable to your R into Thresh hook follow-up.
Synergy & Trading
- Your optimal trading pattern is to use your W to poke from max range, activating your Q stacks before committing to a full trade — once Thresh lands a hook, you immediately unload your W burst and auto-attack chain with Q active to maximize slow uptime and prevent Twitch from escaping or repositioning.
- Never trade without at least partial Q stacks built, as your damage without them is underwhelming against Yuumi's healing.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want to push the wave consistently using your W to shove minions while poking Twitch simultaneously, denying him the passive stacking and farm he needs to scale — a pushed wave also forces Twitch to farm under tower, where his short range and lack of wave clear make him inefficient.
- Avoid freezing, as a frozen wave near their tower gives Twitch safe farm and lets Yuumi heal freely without punishment.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your R on Twitch when he is not in a committed position or when Yuumi is attached to him — Yuumi's E gives him a shield and movement speed, which can cause your R stun to expire before Thresh can follow up meaningfully.
- Firing R reactively rather than proactively into a setup is the most common way to throw your kill pressure in this matchup.
