Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Teemo's range advantage and consistent poison damage make him the clear winner in extended trades; your Q is slow and telegraphed, your E requires close range, and your passive egg form is easily punished by his sustained poke before you have mana to fight back.
  • Post-6, you gain meaningful wave control and zone potential with R, but Teemo's W still lets him dodge your Q reliably and his poison continues to drain your health between trades, making this a losing lane even after your power spike.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to force Teemo to walk into your R-slowed zone, then land Q into E combo while he's slowed — never attempt to trade in the open where he can freely kite and stack poison without you landing anything meaningful.
  • You must use your passive egg form defensively, not as an invitation to fight; if you die in egg form near him, he will simply auto-attack you to death before you revive.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave hard with E to deny Teemo free poke while you're farming, and use your wave clear to force him to choose between taking tower damage or walking into your range.
  • Shoving also reduces the time you spend in the lane exposed to his poke; look to back frequently and use your superior wave clear to maintain tempo rather than trying to win through fighting.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not attempt to all-in Teemo at level 1 or 2 thinking your passive makes you safe — his poison combined with your egg form's vulnerability means he can easily secure the kill before you revive, especially if he has ignite.
  • Avoid standing in minion waves while poked down, as his poison stacks will force you to back repeatedly and fall behind in CS and XP.
