At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Qiyana if you can land your E to close the gap and prevent her from kiting you with her Q empowered autos; your passive shield generation during extended trades gives you durability she cannot match without her element advantage.
From level 6, you win the 1v1 decisively if you use your R to reposition mid-fight and chain your Q dashes to stay on top of her, as she has no reliable way to disengage once you are in melee range and your passive stacks are active.

Qiyana most commonly runs a full clear starting Red side into Raptors, Wolves, Blue, Gromp, then contests scuttle around 3:15-3:30; she prefers this path because it maximizes her element uptime and lets her hit level 3 with full resources before the river fight.
Expect her to take the river element (W) immediately upon reaching scuttle to empower her Q with the slow, which significantly improves her dueling and chase potential.

You should invade Qiyana at her second buff (Blue if she started Red, or vice versa) around 2:45-3:00, as she is relatively weak between camps without an active element on her Q; catching her without her Q element active removes her primary damage tool and makes her a much easier target.
Invading her Red Buff side at level 2 is also viable if you started on the same side, since your E-Q combo at level 2 can chunk her significantly before she has her full kit online.

Do not let Qiyana dictate the terrain of the fight by standing near walls or the river, as her W-empowered Q with the grass or river element will deal massive burst damage and she can chain her abilities into a lethal combo; always fight her in open areas away from terrain features to neutralize her W element selection.
Avoid overcommitting to a chase when she has her E available, as she can use it to disengage and reset the fight on her terms.
