Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Darius if you respect his E pull range and kite with your Q dashes — Darius has no mobility to chase you through terrain, so you can burst and disengage before he stacks his passive.
- From level 6, your sure win condition is landing your E to close gap, chaining Q dashes to proc your passive repeatedly, and never standing still long enough for him to stack 5 passive bleed — you outduel him cleanly if his passive stays below 3 stacks.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Darius jungle typically runs a standard full clear starting Red side (Red > Krugs > Raptors) or Blue side (Blue > Gromp > Wolves), favoring whichever side lets him hit level 3 and contest scuttle with his W slow and E pull.
- He will look to path toward early skirmishes and ganks rather than farming because his clear speed is mediocre and his power spike is heavily level-dependent with passive stacks.
Invade or Not
- You should invade Darius at his second buff around 3:15–3:30 when he is likely low HP from clearing — target the buff opposite to his start, as he will be isolated and unable to stack passive efficiently in a short skirmish.
- Your Q mobility lets you burst him before he can build stacks, but do not invade if you have no vision of his starting position, as getting caught by him at full HP in his jungle is a losing fight.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Darius land his E pull under any circumstance — being pulled into him at full passive stacks is an almost guaranteed death regardless of your level advantage.
- Avoid walking in a straight line toward him to proc your passive, as this is exactly the range where his E activates; always approach from an angle using Q dashes to minimize his ability to hook you.
