LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Akshan has a meaningful range advantage and can poke Locke freely before Q stacks are built up, but Locke's W true damage punishes extended trades hard — you win short poke exchanges at level 1-2, but level 3 gives Locke the E gap-close to punish overextension.
- Post-6, Akshan's R provides kill threat from range and can interrupt Locke's all-in setup, but Locke's R execution threshold and E reset potential make extended fights increasingly dangerous for you.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to poke with Q from max range to chip Locke down, then disengage before Q stacks are consumed — never let Locke land a full Q-stack setup into E-W combo on you.
- Use your W passive healing and Scoundrel passive to sustain through poke, and only commit to a full trade when Locke's E is on cooldown and you have repositioning room.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently to deny Locke the passive farming he needs to scale his passive on-hit damage, and use your superior wave clear to force him under tower where his E engage becomes more telegraphed and easier to sidestep.
- Avoid freezing near Locke's side of the lane since it gives him a shorter E blink path to reach you without you having escape room.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not get baited into extended trades by Locke's W — the movement speed and attack speed it grants make him deceptively hard to kite once he's on top of you, and the heal on recast means he recovers more than you expect.
- Staying at range is your win condition; the moment you try to fight him at melee range to proc your own passive, you are playing into his kit.
