Who Wins

  • Pre-6 you win convincingly from level 1 onward due to your passive empowered autos, Q poke, and E gap-close; Nasus has no mobility or meaningful poke to contest you, and you can freely stack passive charges to trade favorably whenever you choose.
  • Post-6, your R gives you two-phase engage and disengage that Nasus cannot match, so you continue to win unless he has a massive Q stack lead and catches you with W before you can react.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to proc your passive with two autos, use Q to apply the mark, then E in to detonate it and auto again before backing off with your mobility; this maximizes your burst window while minimizing the time Nasus can land his W on you.
  • If he does land W, immediately use E or R phase one to create distance rather than continuing the trade, as his W slow combined with high Q stacks makes extended fights dangerous even for you.

Wave Control

  • Keep the wave slightly frozen or slow-pushed near your side of the lane to deny Nasus the safe farming he needs to stack Q, forcing him to either overextend for CS or fall behind on stacks.
  • If he tries to shove the wave to avoid your poke, match the push and look to roam with R, as your roaming threat is far more impactful than his and he cannot follow effectively.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your shroud reactively the moment he walks toward you, as a patient Nasus will simply wait at the shroud's edge for you to exit and then immediately W you; save it for when he has already committed his W cooldown or when you need to disengage from a gank.
  • Avoid overextending for kills when he has significant Q stacks and W available, because a single landed W into his full combo can delete you even through your mobility if you are not at full health.
