LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Briar wins most extended trades because her W gives her strong sustain and she deals consistent damage while locked onto you; you can poke with Q but if she catches you without your E dash available, she will out-trade you at every level including 1, 2, and 3.
- Post-6, you gain a significant advantage because your R gives you two dashes and a shroud to disengage or re-engage on your terms, which Briar cannot reliably answer since her R is a global and not a dueling tool in lane.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to land Q to apply the mark, auto to proc it for the heal and damage, then immediately use E to reposition into your shroud — never commit to a full extended trade because Briar's W sustain will outlast you if you stand and fight.
- Use short burst windows when Briar's W is not active or she is low on fury, then disengage before she can ramp up her damage.
Wave Control
- You want to shove the wave quickly with Q and autos to create priority, then back off to deny Briar free all-ins on an even wave; a pushed wave forces her to farm under tower, which limits her ability to run you down since she needs open space to stick to you.
- Avoid letting the wave freeze near your tower because Briar can dive you at level 6 with tower aggro if she has enough fury stacked.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E aggressively toward Briar without a clear escape route or your R available, because E is your only reliable gap-closer and escape tool — burning it to trade means she can immediately W and run you down with no way out.
- Overcommitting your mobility against a champion who wins extended fights is the primary way you lose this lane.
