LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you do not straight up win the 1v1 if Renekton lands his E onto you, as his W stun into Q burst is significant damage that your poke pattern alone cannot prevent if he closes the gap; your advantage is range and the ability to consistently chip him down with Q and W while avoiding his engage.
- Post-6, your R fundamentally changes the matchup in your favor because you can dodge his E with a dash, reposition freely, and punish him when he overextends, making a clean kill on you nearly impossible for him unless you are severely mispositioned.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use Q to poke him repeatedly from outside his E range, and when he steps up aggressively, use your E charm to stop his engage and follow up with W and Q for a punishing counter-trade.
- You should never stand still in this lane; constant lateral movement makes it harder for him to predict your position and land E, which is the only way he can realistically threaten you.
Wave Control
- You want to keep the wave slightly on your side of the lane or in the middle to maintain safe poke angles and reduce his dive threat, as a wave pushed under your tower removes your ability to harass him and gives him free reign to roam.
- Use your Q's wave-clear to manage the wave efficiently, but avoid over-shoving into his tower where he can freely engage on you with no fear of tower damage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your E charm on minions or use it reactively at max range where it is easy to dodge, as losing your charm means losing your primary tool to stop his engage and you become extremely vulnerable to his full combo.
- Many Ahri players also make the mistake of using all three R dashes immediately when threatened, leaving themselves with no escape tool for the next 130 seconds, so save at least one dash as an emergency option.
