LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Vi has a strong level 2 spike when she gets her E and can gap-close aggressively, but her damage falls off in extended trades where your E-passive omnivamp and Q sweet spots let you sustain through her burst.
- Post-6, your R gives you enough healing and AD steroid to outlast her in a prolonged fight, especially if you land the outer-edge Q knockups to interrupt her follow-up attacks.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait her E dash with your own E repositioning, then immediately chain Q1 into Q2 into Q3 aiming for the sweet spot on Q3 to maximize knockup and healing.
- If she commits her E to close on you, use your E during the Q animation to sidestep and force her to eat the outer hitbox rather than letting her stand inside the safe zone.
Wave Control
- Push the wave early to deny her the ability to all-in you under a favorable position, as Vi has no real wave clear tool and struggles to match your sustained poke if she's forced to last-hit under pressure.
- Once you have R, look to freeze near your tower after a trade to bait her into overextending, since her engage pattern is predictable and your R sustain lets you punish her cooldown windows.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Vi land her full E-Q combo on you without your E available, because her burst in a short trade window before your omnivamp kicks in can chunk you significantly and force you into a defensive position.
- Avoid using all three Q stages recklessly when she has her E up, as she can simply dash through your Q hitboxes and reset the trade on her terms.
