Who Wins
- You win trades levels 1-3 through Q poke, E sustain, and superior range advantage that Master Yi cannot match.
- At level 6, you maintain dominance as your R provides massive healing and damage while his R mobility is countered by your Q knockups.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is Q1 poke, then when he approaches use Q2 for knockup into W pull, followed by Q3 and E away for sustain.
- If he Q's through you, immediately turn and Q2 where he lands as his Q has a brief animation lock.
Wave Control
- You should maintain a slow push to build minion advantage, then crash for recalls or roams since you can clear waves efficiently with Q.
- Use your range advantage to zone him from CS while building up minion pressure.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste Q abilities randomly as Master Yi can Q through you to dodge them and get favorable positioning.
- Never fight him in your own minion wave early as his Q resets can turn the trade around if he gets lucky with minion kills.
