Who Wins

  • Pre-6, your level 2 spike with E+Q plant combo is the strongest early power spike in this lane — if you hit your E root at level 2, your plants will chunk Caitlyn or Zoe for 30-40% HP before they can respond.
  • Post-6, your R is a strong teamfight tool but in a 2v2 it is harder to land on two mobile enemies; Zoe's sleep into Caitlyn headshot can kill Xayah before your R even matters, so the post-6 lane is slightly unfavorable.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to E root Caitlyn when she steps forward to Q, then immediately Q to spawn plants on top of her — Caitlyn's Q has a long animation that telegraphs her position, making her a reliable E target.
  • Do not try to root Zoe as your primary target since she will R away after taking damage; focus Caitlyn to remove her headshot threat.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam — your value is entirely in your plant zone control in the botlane, and leaving Xayah alone against Caitlyn's poke and Zoe's sleep is a death sentence for your ADC.
  • Stay in lane, maintain plant pressure, and only consider a roam if Xayah has recalled and the wave is fully pushed with no risk of a dive.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not place your W plants in obvious positions that Caitlyn can simply walk around — Caitlyn's long range means she can poke from angles where your plants cannot reach her, so place them to cut off her repositioning paths rather than directly under her.
  • Also avoid using your E aggressively when Zoe has her E available, because if Zoe lands a sleep on you mid-combo your plants will be wasted and you will take a full Caitlyn headshot while asleep.
