Who Wins
- Pre-6 you lose most trades due to Xerath's superior range and poke damage, but you can win if you land E through minions for a full combo.
- Post-6 you have kill pressure with R positioning for E angles, but Xerath still wins sustained poke wars.
How to Trade
- Look for E angles through minions when Xerath uses abilities on wave, then R forward for guaranteed Q paddle star into W pickup.
- Avoid extended trades and focus on burst windows when your cooldowns align.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to get minion advantage for E angles, then look to freeze near your tower where Xerath can't safely poke.
- Use W movement speed from spell shards to dodge his abilities while maintaining CS.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't R forward without landing E first as Xerath can easily hit his full combo on your predictable return position.
- Avoid fighting in open areas where he can freely poke without minion interference for your E.
