Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 through superior range and Q poke, forcing Akali to use Q for farming rather than trading.
- At level 6, Akali becomes significantly stronger as her R allows her to close gaps and all-in you through your range advantage.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern involves using Q through minions for maximum damage, following up with W for movement speed to kite backwards, and only using E when Akali commits to an engage.
- Never trade in melee range as Akali's passive and Q will out-damage your basic attacks and short-range abilities.
Wave Control
- You should maintain a slow push early to build minion advantages for Q damage amplification, then crash waves before Akali hits power spikes at levels 6 and 9.
- After level 6, keep waves closer to your tower to limit Akali's all-in angles and give yourself escape routes.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste your E on minions or use it predictively when Akali has her W available, as she can easily dodge it with stealth positioning.
- Don't greedily extend for CS when your escape summoner spells are down, as Akali's R-E combo can cover massive distances for lethal damage.
