Scuttle Contest
- You lose scuttle fights at level 3 due to Xin Zhao's superior sustained damage and knockup from Q.
- From level 6, you can win 1v1s if you land W-E-Q combo and dodge his E engage with your R, but only if you're not behind in items.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Xin Zhao typically starts bot side for leash, clears to top scuttle, then either invades your jungle or paths to his other scuttle.
- He may also do a full clear if his team has priority in both lanes.
Invade or Not
- Avoid invading early game as Xin Zhao wins most 1v1s pre-6 and has faster clear speed.
- Your best invade timing is post-6 when you have R available and can see him on the opposite side of the map through vision.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to contest scuttle crabs early without lane priority, as Xin Zhao's knockup and sustained damage will force you out or kill you.
- Avoid using W aggressively without vision of enemy laners, as you'll have no escape if they rotate to help Xin Zhao.
