Who Wins
- Pre-6: You lose most trades due to Mel's superior range and Q poke damage, though level 2-3 all-ins with W-E-Q can be effective if you dodge her E root.
- Post-6: You win all-ins if you can bait out her W barrier first, as your R gives you the gap close and burst to kill her through her defensive tools.
How to Trade
- Use W-E-Q combos to force trades when her abilities are on cooldown, immediately backing off to avoid her Q retaliation and passive-enhanced autos.
- Save your W shadow for dodging her E root or escaping after trades, as getting rooted allows her to land full Q damage and stack Overwhelm.
Wave Control
- Push early levels with Q to prevent her from freely poking you, then look to freeze near your tower once she establishes range advantage.
- Roam frequently post-6 since you can't match her waveclear or poke, and she'll struggle to follow your mobility.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't engage when her W barrier is available, as she can reflect your full combo back at you and turn favorable trades into disasters.
- Avoid extended trades where she can stack multiple Overwhelm procs, as her execute threshold combined with reflected damage can surprise kill you.
