Who Wins
- You lose most early trades and need to focus on surviving until you have multiple points in abilities and some health items.
- Post-6, you still struggle in pure 1v1s but can look for opportunities when Aatrox wastes cooldowns or is low on health from other sources.
How to Trade
- Use Q to poke from range and immediately back off, avoiding extended trades where Aatrox can land multiple Q sweet spots.
- When forced to trade, try to E onto Aatrox after he uses his E charges, then Q-W combo before retreating.
Wave Control
- Focus on safe farming under tower and using Q to last hit minions from range when possible.
- Let Aatrox push into you naturally, as fighting for wave control early will result in losing trades and falling further behind.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to match Aatrox's aggression in early levels, as his sustain and damage output far exceed yours before you have items and levels.
- Avoid using E aggressively unless you're certain you can secure a kill, as it's your only escape tool against his all-in potential.
