Who Wins
- You lose early 1v1s due to Gnar's range advantage and kiting potential with his Q slow and W proc.
- At level 6, you gain kill pressure when Gnar is in mini form, but Mega Gnar's CC and burst can still outright kill you if you're not careful.
How to Trade
- Use W to pull Gnar when he steps up for CS, then immediately Q for the double strike and healing.
- Follow with E for gap closing and additional damage, but save your E dash to escape if he transforms to Mega form mid-trade.
Wave Control
- Push early waves to build Determination stacks off minions and force Gnar to last hit under tower.
- Once you have stacks, look for slow pushes to create long trades where your sustained damage and healing can overcome his poke.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't chase Gnar when he's near transformation - his Mega form can turn a winning trade into your death with his full combo.
- Avoid fighting in his minion waves early since his W proc and Q bounce will out-damage your Q healing.
