Who Wins
- You lose early 1v1s as Darius has stronger base damage and his Q heals while denying your Q healing through poke.
- At level 6, you gain kill potential if you've stacked Determination beforehand, but Darius still wins if he lands Q and gets 5 stacks first.
How to Trade
- Use W to pull Darius when he tries to Q you, forcing him into melee range where his heal is reduced.
- Follow with Q double-strike and E away before he can stack passive, only committing to extended trades when you have Determination stacks built up.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with E to build small Determination advantages, then freeze near your tower once Darius gets combat stats.
- This forces him to overextend for CS while you can look for W pulls into short trades without minion disadvantage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use E aggressively without escape plans since Darius can ghost/flash onto you after the dash.
- Avoid trading when you have no Determination stacks as his base damages will simply outdamage your kit without the passive bonus AD.
