Who Wins
- You lose early levels 1-3 due to Aatrox's superior range with Q poke and stronger base damage, but his cooldowns give you windows to trade back.
- At level 6, you gain significant advantage as your R provides burst damage and Determination stacks while Aatrox's R is primarily sustain-focused in extended fights.
How to Trade
- Look for short trades using E dash to gap close, then Q auto-reset for quick damage before backing out during his Q cooldowns.
- Once you have some Determination stacks, you can commit to longer trades using W pull to keep him in range and prevent his escape.
Wave Control
- Push early waves when possible to hit level 6 first, as your power spike is more impactful than his.
- Focus on building slow pushes to create opportunities for all-ins when you have minion advantage and Determination stacks.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to match his early poke trading as you'll lose the sustain war without stacks built up.
- Avoid fighting in his minion waves early game since you need extended trades to build Determination, but his burst combo can punish you quickly.
