Who Wins

  • Pre-6, your healing sustain tips the 2v2 in your favor since Miss Fortune has no burst to overcome it and Sylas needs levels to be threatening; however, Sylas at level 3 can look for an aggressive E+Q combo that you must respect.
  • Post-6, you must stay attached to Caitlyn at all times because Sylas can steal your R and use it against your team, and an unattached Yuumi is an easy kill target for Sylas's gap close.

Synergy & Trading

  • Attach to Caitlyn and use your Q to poke Miss Fortune from a safe angle, aiming to proc the slow so Caitlyn can land headshots; use your E to stack adaptive force on Caitlyn during extended trades rather than saving it purely for healing.
  • Detach only when you need to dodge a critical skillshot, and immediately reattach to avoid being caught by Sylas.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should not roam in this matchup — Caitlyn without a support is vulnerable to a Sylas all-in dive, and your roam value is low early given your weak solo movement.
  • If you must roam, do so only after a successful kill or tower plate, when Caitlyn has enough items to survive a short window alone and the enemy bot lane is recalled.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not let Sylas steal your R by using it carelessly in a fight where he is nearby — your R is a powerful teamfight tool but becomes a liability if Sylas absorbs it and uses it against your team.
  • Avoid detaching to land your Q poke when Sylas is in range, as he will immediately target you and you have no escape without your host.
