Who Wins
- You lose early trades levels 1-3 due to Garen's Q-E combo being stronger than your Q poke.
- At level 6, you win the all-in with Maiden and ghouls if you have graves prepared beforehand.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is to poke with Q when Garen uses abilities on minions, then immediately back off.
- Never extended trade without ghouls up, as his spin will outdamage your basic attacks significantly.
Wave Control
- You want to slow push and stack graves near your tower early, then fast push with ghouls when you have item advantage.
- Avoid freezing as Garen can easily break it and zone you from farm with his sustain.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never fight Garen in extended trades without ghouls or Maiden, as his E damage will overwhelm you.
- Don't waste your W wall defensively early game since the cooldown is too long and Garen can easily walk out of it.
