Who Wins
- You win early 1v1s through Q poke and E trades where you can damage and retreat before Zaahen builds Determination stacks.
- At level 6, the matchup becomes more dangerous as Zaahen's R can punish your E aggression, but your superior mobility still gives you control over fight timing.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is E forward, Q3 knockup into auto-W-Q combo, then snap back with E2 before Zaahen can respond with extended trades.
- Use Q poke from range to whittle him down without allowing him to build Determination stacks on you.
Wave Control
- Maintain wave control through Q waveclear and avoid hard pushing unless you can recall safely, as Zaahen's W pull becomes deadly when you're overextended.
- Keep waves in neutral positions where you can E trade and retreat safely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use E aggressively when Zaahen has R available, as he can W pull you during your E animation and follow up with R for massive damage.
- Avoid extended trades at all costs since his Determination stacking and Q healing make him stronger in prolonged fights.
