LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose this lane if Jayce plays correctly, as his ranged poke with Q and E will consistently chip you down faster than your passive shield regenerates, and you have no reliable way to close the gap without burning E into a losing trade; post-6, your R changes the dynamic entirely by giving you a point-and-click engage that ignores his range, making the matchup winnable if you have not fallen too far behind in health or gold.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use E to close distance and immediately look for a Q-W-Q combo in melee range where Jayce's ranged form loses its advantage, then disengage before he can switch to hammer and land his W-Q knockup — short burst trades in his face are better than extended fights where his hammer form can stun-lock you.
Wave Control
- You want to let the wave slow-push toward you or sit even, because a pushed wave forces you to farm under tower where Jayce can freely poke you without risk of your all-in; a wave near your side of the lane gives you the option to all-in with R without him having tower as a safety net.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E aggressively when Jayce has his ranged Q ready to fire through the minion wave, as he can land the accelerated Q on you mid-dash and follow up with E to knock you back, completely negating your engage and leaving you in a losing position with your gap-closer on cooldown.
