Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win most trades from level 3 onward once you have E, as your E-Q-Q-W pattern outdamages his barrel combos when you're in melee range where he can't safely detonate stacked barrels; post-6 the matchup becomes more dangerous because his R can interrupt your E return path and a barrel-R combo under your soul form will kill you before you snap back.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to E through him to reposition behind or beside him, immediately Q-Q to proc your passive stacks, then W to shield his barrel retaliation — never trade at his barrel range because he controls the spacing and the double-barrel detonation will win the poke war.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze the wave near your tower when possible, forcing him to walk up for CS and exposing him to your E engages without tower safety; avoid shoving blindly because a pushed wave gives him free barrel placement under your tower and safe Q poke while you're farming.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your E aggressively when his barrels are pre-stacked in the lane — he is baiting you to dash into a detonation, and your soul form returning through those barrels will deal massive damage before you can W; always clear his barrels or bait their detonation before committing to an E trade.
