Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 trades due to Xerath's superior range and poke damage, but can start winning all-ins post-6 with R if you successfully engage.
- Level 2 E-Q combo gives you brief trading windows, but Xerath's E stun makes extended trades risky.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is E through minions to gap close, then Q-auto-Q combo before disengaging with another E dash.
- Always save your W to block his Q poke after trading, as eating free poke will force you out of lane.
Wave Control
- Push early waves aggressively with Q to create minion positioning for E dashes, then look to freeze near your tower once you have enough minions.
- This forces Xerath to overextend for CS and gives you multiple E dash angles for all-ins.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste your W defensively against his E stun, as this leaves you vulnerable to his full Q-W-R combo.
- Don't greedily chase kills through his team without minions nearby, as you'll lose your mobility and escape options.
