Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Teemo's range and W make short trades heavily punishing for you — at level 1 you lose most trades, and level 2 gives you E-dash access but Teemo's W still negates your Q entirely during its duration, so you are not winning early.
  • Post-6, your R gives you a reliable all-in setup if you can land a knockup through E onto a minion or Q tornado, but Teemo's W still hard-counters your Q damage window, making the kill require precise timing around W cooldown.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to use E to gap-close, bait out Teemo's W, disengage immediately, then re-engage with Q once W is on cooldown — your damage window is almost entirely dependent on W being unavailable.
  • Never commit to a full trade while W is active; instead, use short E-in, auto, E-out patterns to chip health and force W usage before going for a real trade.

Wave Control

  • You want to push the wave consistently to deny Teemo free poke under tower and reduce the open space he has to harass you — a slow-pushed or neutral wave gives Teemo maximum range advantage and free poke access.
  • Crashing waves and resetting forces Teemo to deal with the wave rather than freely poking, and reduces the time you spend exposed in lane.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not dash onto Teemo without knowing W cooldown — dashing in while W is up means your Q is useless, your damage is gutted, and you eat a full blind duration plus poison while accomplishing nothing.
  • Tracking W timing is the single most important mechanical habit in this matchup; ignoring it turns every trade into a losing one regardless of your skill level.
