Who Wins
- You dominate levels 1-3 with superior range and consistent poke damage through Q and W.

How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is to poke with Q through minions when possible, and use W when he goes for CS.
- Always maintain maximum range and use your superior reach to chunk him down without taking return damage.
Wave Control
- Keep the wave in the center or slightly pushed to maintain your range advantage and poke opportunities.
- Avoid hard shoving as this gives him free farm under tower and reduces your ability to harass him effectively.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never walk too close to his cage range as a good Veigar will flash-cage you for an instant kill.
- Avoid using all your abilities on the wave as this gives him windows to engage when your spells are on cooldown.
