Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 through superior base stats and Q armor shred, but Akali can trade back with Q poke if you're not careful with positioning.
- At level 6, Akali gains a significant advantage with R mobility and burst potential that outscales your R teamfight utility in pure 1v1 scenarios.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is E-AA-Q when Akali uses Q or steps up for CS, then immediately back off to avoid her energy-based retaliation.
- Extended trades favor Akali due to her passive movement speed and energy regeneration, so keep exchanges short and decisive.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish priority and deny Akali's scaling, but be prepared to give up wave control post-6 when her kill pressure spikes.
- Maintain minion advantage to limit her W shroud effectiveness and prevent her from freely trading in extended fights.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't use W defensively against Akali's R1 engage as she can easily follow your clone with R2 or wait out the stealth duration.
- Avoid fighting in her W shroud where she gains energy restoration and obscurity - disengage immediately when she drops it.
