Who Wins

  • You win most early trades pre-6 due to Q sustain and W attack speed, but Tryndamere's crit RNG can occasionally turn fights.
  • Post-6 you have a significant advantage since your R can lock him down during his R duration and force unfavorable trades.

How to Trade

  • Look for extended trades when your W is active and you have Q available for sustain.
  • Use E to reduce his damage during all-ins, then follow up with Q-auto-R combo when he's low enough that your R fear will outlast his R.

Wave Control

  • Push early waves to establish priority, then look to freeze near your tower when ahead.
  • Your sustain allows you to maintain favorable positioning while denying him farm and setting up ganks.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste your R when he has his R available unless you can guarantee the kill or force him out of lane.
  • Trading your ultimate cooldown for his gives him a massive window to all-in you or take favorable trades.
