Who Wins
- You win most early trades pre-6 due to your Q engage and W sustain, but Jax becomes increasingly dangerous after level 3 when he has all basic abilities.
- Post-6, Jax wins extended all-ins with his R passive and E dodge, so you need to rely on short burst trades and jungle assistance.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is Q engage into auto-W-E combo, then immediately disengage before Jax can retaliate with his full combo.
- Never commit to extended trades where Jax can stack his R passive and use E to negate your damage.
Wave Control
- Push early waves to establish priority and roam for plays, as you have better early waveclear with E.
- After level 6, maintain wave in neutral position to avoid overextending, since Jax can run you down in long lanes with his superior scaling.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use Q aggressively when Jax has E available, as he can dodge your engage damage and turn the trade heavily in his favor.
- Avoid fighting in minion waves where Jax can Q to minions for repositioning and extended trades.
