Who Wins
- You win short trades pre-6 with Q-W combo if Irelia doesn't have passive stacks, but lose extended fights once she builds stacks on minions.
- Post-6 you need to land R on her and force fights in the lightning zone, as she'll kite you easily in open space.
How to Trade
- Use Q to gap close when she's isolated from minions, immediately follow with W for the heal and damage, then disengage before she can stack passive and retaliate.
- Your E can interrupt her Q dashes if timed correctly during her combo attempts.
Wave Control
- Try to keep waves in neutral positions or slightly pushing toward her to limit her minion access for passive stacking and Q resets.
- Avoid letting her freeze with multiple low minions as this gives her too much setup potential.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't chase extended trades when she has passive stacks built up, as her sustained damage will outduel you even with your W heal.
- Never use R defensively unless you're certain you can kill her in the zone, as wasting it gives her free reign to dive you.
