Who Wins

  • You win trades pre-6 through superior range and Q shield, but Sion can all-in you if he lands E into Q combo.
  • Post-6 you have kill pressure with R zone control, but Sion's passive makes solo kills risky since he can still threaten you in death form.

How to Trade

  • Use Q for shield and poke, then immediately back away to avoid Sion's E knockback into Q charge combo.
  • Your optimal trade is Q auto-attack (Discharge) followed by E laser, but only when Sion's abilities are on cooldown.

Wave Control

  • Push waves quickly with E laser to prevent Sion from setting up his combo angles, but maintain vision since you're vulnerable to ganks.
  • Focus on farming Hex Fragments efficiently rather than trying to freeze, as your scaling is more important than denying Sion.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't stand in minion waves where Sion can hit both you and minions with E, and never fight him in his passive form unless you have significant health advantage.
  • Avoid using W gravity field defensively against his charge since he can simply walk out before the stun procs.
