Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win trades with Q shield and E poke since Malzahar lacks sustain and has higher mana costs.
- Post-6 becomes much more dangerous as his R can set up ganks, but you still win pure 1v1s if you avoid getting ulted.
How to Trade
- Use Q for shield then immediately E to trade, backing away before he can retaliate with full combo.
- Keep trades short and use your range advantage to poke with E while staying outside his Q range.
Wave Control
- Push waves with E to deny his passive shield regeneration and force him to use mana clearing.
- Focus on farming for Hex Fragments while maintaining wave control through superior waveclear.
Mistakes to Avoid
