LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you are at a disadvantage in pure poke because Orianna outranges you and her ball placement forces you to take chip damage without a reliable way to respond; however, at level 3 your W passive doom meter charges quickly off her Q pokes, and if she overextends to place the ball aggressively, you can fear her and punish with a full combo; post-6, you win the 1v1 cleanly because your R closes the gap instantly and your W fear prevents her from kiting effectively.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to let Orianna push the ball toward you to charge your W passive, then when doom is ready, walk up to trigger the fear, immediately Q into her, and follow with E for the slow and additional damage before she can reposition; do not initiate without your W passive charged because she will simply Q-W and disengage before you deal meaningful damage.
Wave Control
- You want to play a slightly passive wave strategy early, letting Orianna push toward you so you can farm safely under tower pressure while charging your W passive off her poke; once you hit 6, you can look to shove and roam with your R, as your kill threat on side lanes is significantly higher than hers and you should exploit that asymmetry.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your W active on the minion wave or use it reactively without the passive charged, as it becomes a long cooldown with minimal impact and leaves you completely vulnerable to Orianna's poke cycle; your W passive is your primary tool in this matchup and burning it carelessly removes your only reliable way to close the gap and trade favorably.
