- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke, but must respect Irelia's level 2 all-in potential with Q-E combo.
- Post-6 you maintain advantage if you land R, but lose extended fights if she gets on top of you.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is Q poke when she goes for CS, then W-auto when she tries to engage to block her gap close and chunk her.
- Never trade in her minion wave where she can Q reset through creeps to extend the fight.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish range advantage and deny her CS, but transition to freezing near your tower once she hits level 3-4.
- This forces her to overextend for farm while keeping you safe from her all-in potential.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your W defensively too early in trades, as Irelia can bait it with E then still have Q available to gap close.
