Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 through superior range and wave control with Q poke and passive mark detonation.
  • Post-6 Fizz gains kill pressure with R-E-Q combo that can bypass your E interrupt, making the 1v1 favor him if he lands shark.

How to Trade

  • Your optimal trading is Q-auto to proc passive mark, then immediately back off before Fizz can gap close with E or Q.
  • Extended trades favor Fizz due to his W damage over time and mobility to stick to you.

Wave Control

  • Push early waves with Q to establish range advantage and roam timing, but transition to freezing near your tower once Fizz hits 6.
  • This forces him to overextend for CS while keeping you safe from all-in attempts.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Never use E reactively against Fizz's E - he can buffer his abilities during your cast time and still complete his combo.
  • Save E for guaranteed interrupts on his Q dash or use it proactively when he's already committed.
