Who Wins
- You lose early trades pre-6 due to Jayce's range advantage and poke damage, but can start winning all-ins post-6 when your R gives you the stats to run him down.
- Level 2-3 don't meaningfully change this dynamic since Jayce maintains his range control.
How to Trade
- Look for short trades with Q when he steps up for CS, then immediately back off to avoid his hammer form combo.
- Your best trading windows are when he's in ranged form and wastes his E, allowing you to run him down with W active.
Wave Control
- Let the wave push toward you early to avoid constant poke, then look to freeze near your tower where you can threaten all-ins.
- Once you have R and items, you can start slow-pushing to build minion advantages for dives or extended trades.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to match his early poke trades or chase him when he has his E available in hammer form.
- Avoid fighting in open areas where he can kite you effectively - instead, use brushes and terrain to close gaps.
