Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win the lane if you respect Lucian's E-dash burst range and use your superior range to poke him down before he can engage — Lucian's level 2 all-in with E into double-shot is dangerous, so keep distance and let your bomb chip damage accumulate.
- Post-6, your R is your most important tool because it hard-counters Lucian's R channel and creates enough space to reset the fight on your terms.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to apply bomb with an auto, force Lucian to either take the explosion or dash away burning his E, then follow with W-jump if he's low enough — never let him dictate the range of the fight because his kit is designed to punish you at medium range.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want to slow-push or freeze the wave to deny Lucian and Poppy from engaging on favorable terms — a frozen wave near your tower keeps Poppy's W engage risky and forces Lucian to overextend to farm, making him vulnerable to Braum's E-into-passive setup.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R defensively to knock Lucian away when Poppy has W available — Poppy can simply W-dash back onto you immediately after the knockback, and you will have wasted your only real escape tool while Poppy still has full engage potential.
