- You lose level 2 all-ins due to Brand's instant burst damage and lack of sustain, but become the stronger duo at level 6 with R crowd control and pick potential.
- Your engage tools become much more effective once you have ultimate to lock down targets.
Synergy & Trading
- Look for Q hooks when Brand uses abilities on minions, then follow with E-R combo while Smolder adds damage.
- Use W to shield Smolder from Brand's burst and position aggressively only when your abilities are available.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roam after level 3 when you have all basic abilities, targeting mid lane or jungle skirmishes where your Q-E combo is most effective.
- Time roams when the wave is pushing toward your tower or after forcing the enemy to recall.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't engage without Q hook confirmation, as Brand's W-Q combo will chunk you heavily during failed engages.
- Avoid using W aggressively for trades since Smolder needs it for escape against their superior poke damage.
