Synergy & Trading

  • Look for Q hooks when Vel'Koz steps up to poke or when Maokai uses W aggressively, then follow with E and let Caitlyn follow up with headshot combos.
  • Your lantern allows Caitlyn to position aggressively for trades then escape safely.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam frequently after successful recalls or when Caitlyn has wave control, especially levels 6-9 when your R provides strong gank setup.
  • Time roams when enemy bot is pushed under tower or after forcing them to back.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste Q on minions when enemies are in range for hooks, as this removes your primary threat and engage tool.
  • Avoid using E defensively too early - save it to interrupt Maokai's W or to follow up your own Q engages.
