Who Wins
- You dominate pre-6 with superior range, blind negating his Q farm, and consistent poison pressure forcing him to play defensively.
- Post-6 becomes more dangerous as his R can execute you if you're caught in his cage, but you still control most interactions.
How to Trade
- Use your range advantage to poke with auto-attacks while he farms, and save Q to blind him when he tries to Q minions or trade back.
- Your optimal pattern is auto-Q-auto when he steps up, then kite back while poison ticks.
Wave Control
- Maintain a slow push or freeze to keep the wave in the middle where you can control both sides with mushrooms.
- Avoid hard shoving unless you can recall, as Veigar scales better and you want to deny his safe farming under tower.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste your blind on random poke when Veigar has Q available for farming, as this gives him free CS windows.
- Avoid face-checking bushes or overextending without mushroom coverage, as Veigar's cage can set up easy ganks even when behind.
