Who Wins
- You lose pre-6 due to Jayce's superior range and burst damage, struggling especially at levels 2-3 when he gains form switching.
- Post-6 you gain more outplay potential with R zone control but still lose straight 1v1s if caught without blind.
How to Trade
- You want to Q when Jayce switches to hammer form to negate his all-in potential, then kite with auto-attacks while blind is active.
- Use W to create distance after blinding, then re-engage with Q off cooldown for short trades.
Wave Control
- You should try to freeze the wave near your tower to force Jayce into overextending for CS or poke.
- Avoid pushing unless you can recall safely, as Jayce excels at punishing you in long lanes.
Mistakes to Avoid
- You cannot afford to waste Q on minions or use it predictively, as Jayce will immediately punish you during the cooldown.
- Don't rely solely on mushrooms for safety - Jayce's mobility allows him to gap close even through R fields.
