Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you win the scuttle fight decisively if you can land your E to gap-close and chain W slow into Q burst — Kindred's auto-attack range and W speed boost are their only tools to disengage, and your burst damage outpaces their sustained DPS at this stage.
  • From level 6, you win the 1v1 if you engage from fog of war using E, immediately proc W bleed, and Q before Kindred can kite you out — if they get distance and start auto-attacking freely, your window closes fast.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Kindred will most likely start Red Buff side (bot-side) and path through Raptors or Krugs into Scuttle, then mirror to the opposite side — they prioritize marking stacks early so expect them to invade your jungle frequently rather than farming a clean path.
  • Be aware they may also start Blue Buff top-side if their bot lane can leash efficiently, then path toward early Scuttle or a level 3 gank.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Kindred at level 3 when you know their starting side — go to their second buff camp (the one they haven't cleared yet) and contest it, as Kindred has weak dueling at that point without their full kit online.
  • The optimal location is their Red Buff if they started Blue, or their Blue Buff if they started Red, timed around 3:15–3:30 before they arrive; do not invade blindly into a camp they're actively clearing with full HP.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not overextend chasing Kindred into open terrain where they can kite you with autos and W — your E has a cooldown and once you've used it to engage, you lose your gap-close and Kindred can simply run while dealing sustained damage.
  • Burning your E aggressively without securing the kill leaves you immobile and vulnerable to a counter-trade or enemy laner collapse.
