Who Wins
- You win pre-6 trades through superior range and wave control with Q, but Zed can all-in you if you waste E or get hit by double Q.
- Post-6 Zed wins the 1v1 as his R gives him guaranteed gap close and burst that you cannot reliably escape.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is Q poke when Zed goes for CS, then immediately back off to avoid his W-E-Q combo.
- Never extended trade without your E up, as it's your only tool to create distance and zone him from following up.
Wave Control
- Push early levels with Q to establish priority, then maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower once Zed hits 6.
- You want to avoid being in the middle of the lane where Zed can easily land W-R combos without tower interference.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your W aggressively for poke or wave clear when Zed's W is available, as you'll have no escape tool for his engage.
- Getting caught without W post-6 against Zed R is almost always death even with flash up.
